Chicopee Woods Mountain Bike Trails are located on Elachee Drive in the Chicopee Mill Area. This park showcases 21 miles of prime cross country single-track riding. The park is managed by volunteers from Northeast Georgia SORBA (Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association).
The park includes a 2.6 mile beginner friendly trail named The Tortoise Loop. There are four intermediate level trails totaling 14 miles – these include the Red Tail loop, Flying Squirrel, White Tail loop and Coyote trail. The most difficult trail in the park is Copperhead – a 4.5 mile trail. Trail maps are posted at the main trail head kiosk in the parking lot as well as at major intersections along the trail system. The trails close each day at sunset and after significant rain.
Currently, night riding during the winter months is only allowed during posted Chapter group rides. There is a tip box at the trailhead that help fund the maintenance of the paths. Donations are always appreciated!
